3 Surprising Beauty Tip Uses for Honey

cosmetic skincare+ making - When you think of beauty tips, do you think of the sweet stuff? I know for sure that I love a great chocolate facial. Then there are the many different sugar scrubs and spice wraps.

All that stuff tends to be expensive. I paid 150 dollars at my last spa visit, and I didn’t even get the full massage. Thankfully, there are many different ways to give yourself some of the same sweet treatments at home. The basis for these awesome facials and masques? It's honey.

Below are just a few uses for honey that will leave you feeling delicious and beautiful:

* Honey Do Beauty Tip #1: Be bubblicious. - A cup of honey in your bubble bath leaves skin feeling soft and smooth. If you want an extra glow to you skin, exfoliate with a loofah while in the tub. If you add 4 tablespoons of whole milk powder to your bubble bath, it will help keep your skin very clear. Of course, any time you bathe in edible products, be sure you rinse off really well when you are done.

* Your Honey Do Beauty Tip #2: Layering is fun. - An egg white mask can be made by whipping egg whites, a tablespoon of honey and a small amount of flour or unsweetened cocoa together to make a really thick paste. Your pores need to be open first by putting a hot wash cloth on your face for 3 minutes. Next smooth it on your face. Then wait for 10 minutes. Then just wash it off with warm water and love your fresh and youthful skin.

* Honey Beauty Tip #3: You can make your own skin toner. - You can have a great toner by using honey, buttermilk and rosewater and mixing them in an airtight container. A Tupperware with a screw-on lid works great. Shake up the mixture until it is thoroughly blended. You will end up with a mixture that is quite runny and cloudy in color. You may then apply it with a cotton ball and your skin will be beautiful and toned.

The best honey should be used for these treatments. You just need a good sized jar of organic honey, which is less than 20 dollars, that hasn't been treated with chemicals or preservatives. You will be able to use this honey for your beauty tips for months to come
